Consumption of supplements with drugs trigger harmful side effects
Supplements can change the system of drug, when taken together.
Consuming herbal medicines and dietary supplements, along with taking medication, such as aspirin can cause dangerous side effects.
Interactions between prescription drugs and herbal or dietary supplements can cause complications, including heart problems, pain in the chest and abdomen, according to a review of the evidence.
Herbal remedies and supplements, such as magnesium, calcium, iron, and ginkgo can cause major problems, according to research reported in the International Journal of Clinical Practice.
The experts from the China Medical School in Taiwan, studied data from 54 articles reviews, and 31 independent studies involving 213 herbal and dietary supplements, and 509 prescription drugs.
Total 882 hook effect was observed, with warfarin, insulin, digoxin aspirin and ticlopidine among drugs, the most effect.
Flax seeds, echinacea, and yohimbe, aphrodisiac stimulant and lust, which are found in Africa, are herbal ingredients that are found to cause interactions, large amounts of the drug.
In almost half the cases, drug interactions occur when the material in the supplement change, in the way the drug is absorbed and spread throughout the body, bermetabolisasi, and then out of the system.
